CONGRATULATING TWELVE YEAR OLD NICHOLAS A. BARSKE OF NORTH | |
KINGSTOWN ON WINNING THE 65CC CHAMPIONSHIP OF MOTOCROSS IN TWO | |

     WHEREAS, Nicholas A. Barske is an exceptionally talented young man from North |

Kingstown and a student at Wickford Middle School; and |

     WHEREAS, As young boys, Nicholas and his brother accompanied their parents on |
1-4 |
biking trips in the woods. Soon thereafter Nicholas discovered motocross racing and began |
1-5 |
competing in 2000; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, In the past six years Nicholas has worked tirelessly and has overcome |
1-7 |
injuries to become a champion motocross racer. Motocross racing mandates many countless |
1-8 |
hours of hard training, extensive road trips, vigilant maintenance of all his equipment and |
1-9 |
numerous chores to be completed before each race, all in addition to his schoolwork; and |
1-10 |
     WHEREAS, Nicholas' hard work and devotion to his training regimen paid big dividends |
1-11 |
in 2005 when he won the New Capeway Sports Committee (NCSC) 2005 Spring Series Novice |
1-12 |
Championship, and the (NCSC) 2005 Fall Series 65cc Amateur Championship; and |
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, Nicholas would be the first to tell everyone that he could not have |
1-14 |
accomplished so much at such an early age without the loving support of his dedicated parents |
1-15 |
and his brother William, who practices and trains with him and pushes him to excel. His mom |
1-16 |
and dad, Kevin and Kathy Barske, have spent countless hours driving him to practice, helping |
1-17 |
him train, buying the expensive equipment necessary to compete and succeed at competitive |
1-18 |
Motocross, and giving him all the unconditional love and support a youngster needs to develop |
1-19 |
his skills; now, therefore be it |

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |

Providence Plantations hereby congratulates Nicholas A. Barske for winning two New Capeway |
2-3 |
Sports Committee (NCSC) Motocross Championships in 2005, and wishes him continued success |
2-4 |
in all his future endeavors; and be it further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-6 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Nicholas A. Barske. |
