EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF CLARINDA A. WALSH

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this House of Representatives has learned of the

passing of Clarinda Walsh, beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Walsh for more than 65 years,

1-3

cherished mother of Richard T. Walsh, Lois M. Schillinger and her husband, Thomas, and Lucille

1-4

D. Walsh. She was also the loving grandmother of David M. Schillinger, Jill L. Murphy, and

1-5

Thomas R. Schillinger, and six great-grandchildren, David, Ryan, Evan, Lauren, Chaise, and

1-6

Zachary, as well as several nieces and nephews; and

1-7

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Walsh was born in Suncook, New Hampshire, daughter of the late

1-8

Delvini and Marie Chaput. She had made her home in Cumberland for the past seven decades,

1-9

previously residing in West Warwick; and  

1-10

     WHEREAS, In addition to caring for her family, Mrs. Walsh was a devout communicant

1-11

of St. Patrick Church, a founding member of the St. Patrick Mother's Club, and a charter member

1-12

of the former St. Thomas Knights of Columbus, Women's Guild in Cumberland; and

1-13

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Walsh had celebrated her 105th birthday. She was truly a kind and

1-14

gentle soul who lived a full and rewarding life and enriched all who knew her, and she will be

1-15

dearly missed but fondly remembered; now, therefore be it

1-16

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

1-17

Providence Plantations hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Clarinda

1-18

Walsh; and be it further

1-19

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

1-20

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Richard T. Walsh, Lois M. Schillinger, and

1-21

Lucille D. Walsh.
