PUBLIC HEALTH STUDY COMMISSION

     RESOLVED, That the special legislative study commission created by Resolution No.

330, passed by the House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2011, and approved May

24, 2011, entitled "House Resolution Creating The Rhode Island Public Health Study

Commission" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a report to the General

1-5

Assembly on or before June 30, 2012, and said commission shall expire on December 31, 2012,

and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by Resolution No. 330 passed by the

1-8

House of Representatives at its January session, A.D. 2011, and approved May 24, 2011, be and

1-9

the same is hereby rescinded.

EXPLANATION

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

OF

H O U S E R E S O L U T I O N

EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF THE RHODE ISLAND

PUBLIC HEALTH STUDY COMMISSION

     This resolution would extend the reporting and expiration dates of the special legislative

study commission to make a comprehensive study and review of all matters related to the state

2-3

public health assessment, policy development, and proper implementation of policy; and make

2-4

recommendations to coordinate and integrate academic and research programs relevant to state

2-5

health; and who would report back to the General Assembly no later than June 30, 2012; and

2-6

whose life would expire December 31, 2012.
