CONGRATULATING EXETER/WEST GREENWICH GIRLS SOCCER COACH KEVIN | |
FRASER ON BEING NAMED THE NSCAA/MONDO GIRLS DIVISION II NATIONAL | |

     WHEREAS, Before Kevin Fraser took over as the head coach of the Exeter/West |

Greenwich Girls soccer team, it had won a total of four games in the handful of years since the |

program was formed. Since Coach Fraser became coach, the Scarlet Knights have been to the |
1-4 |
Division II semifinals eight times, have made it to the championship game each of the last three |
1-5 |
years, and have won back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, In 2011, Coach Fraser led his team to a perfect 21-0 season on the way to |
1-7 |
the State Championship. For his efforts, he was named the Rhode Island Small School Girls |
1-8 |
Coach of the Year, the New England Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches |
1-9 |
Association of America, and the NSCAA/Mondo Girls Division II National Coach of the Year; |
1-10 |
and |

     WHEREAS, Coach Kevin Fraser’s commitment to coaching and positively impacting the |
1-12 |
lives of his players knows no limits. A retired firefighter living in New Hampshire with his wife, |
1-13 |
Cindy, Coach Fraser makes a four and one-half hour commute to Rhode Island to coach his team |
1-14 |
during the week. His players love him and respect him, and know that he is completely dedicated |
1-15 |
to getting the most out of them as players and guiding them on the right path as they mature into |
1-16 |
responsible adults; now, therefore be it |
1-17 |
     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
1-18 |
Providence Plantations hereby congratulates Coach Kevin Fraser of the Exeter/West Greenwich |
1-19 |
Girls Division II Soccer Team on being named the NSCAA/Mondo Girls Division II National |
1-20 |
Coach of the Year. We wish him continued success and happiness as he leads his team onward to |

even greater success in the future; and be it further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
