RELATING TO PUBLIC FINANCE - DISCLOSURE AND TRANSPARENCY

     Introduced By: Representatives Lima, and Bennett

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 35-4 of the General Laws entitled "State Funds" is hereby amended

by adding thereto the following section:

     35-4-29. Disclosure and transparency required. – Any person or entity receiving state,

1-4

federal or city or town funds, whether in the form of a grant for general support or for a particular

1-5

project or by way of a tax reduction pursuant to an incentive program, shall disclose the names of

1-6

all contractors and subcontractors as part of the bidding or grant application process or as part of

1-7

the required certification for continuing in such incentive program.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
