It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |

     SECTION 1. Section 31-10-6.3 of the General Laws in Chapter 31-10 entitled |

"Operators' and Chauffeurs' Licenses" is hereby amended to read as follows: |

     31-10-6.3. Duration and fee. -- A limited instruction permit |
1-4 |
until sixty (60) days after the eighteenth (18th) birthday of the permit holder, during which period |
1-5 |
the provisional license restrictions shall not apply. A limited provisional license expires on the |
1-6 |
eighteenth (18th) birthday of the permit holder. A full operator's license shall be issued and |
1-7 |
expires on the date pursuant to section 31-10-30. The fee for a limited instruction permit or a |
1-8 |
limited provisional license is ten dollars ($10.00). The fee for a full operator's license is the |
1-9 |
amount prescribed in section 31-10-31. |

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
