RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES - OPERATORS' AND CHAUFFEURS'

LICENSES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 31-10-6.3 of the General Laws in Chapter 31-10 entitled

"Operators' and Chauffeurs' Licenses" is hereby amended to read as follows:

     31-10-6.3. Duration and fee. -- A limited instruction permit expires on shall not expire

until sixty (60) days after the eighteenth (18th) birthday of the permit holder, during which period

the provisional license restrictions shall not apply. A limited provisional license expires on the

eighteenth (18th) birthday of the permit holder. A full operator's license shall be issued and

1-7

expires on the date pursuant to section 31-10-30. The fee for a limited instruction permit or a

1-8

limited provisional license is ten dollars ($10.00). The fee for a full operator's license is the

1-9

amount prescribed in section 31-10-31.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
