EXPRESSING OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF GRACE M. QUINN

     WHEREAS, Grace Quinn was a beloved lady who devoted her life to the well-being and

betterment of her family, friends, and community. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the

1-3

late Domenic and Edith Christofaro. She resided in Warwick for most of her life; and

1-4

     WHEREAS, Grace was the devoted and beloved mother of Carol A. Layden, Joseph

1-5

Perry, Karen G. Martufi, John J. Quinn Jr. and the late Joyce D. Marotta and Nancy M.

1-6

Tavarozzi, and sister of Domenic Christofaro, Edith Christofaro, and the late Daniel Christofaro

1-7

and Ruth Henshall. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, four great-great-

1-8

grandchildren, and her lifelong friend, Mary Gatta; and

1-9

     WHEREAS, Grace worked for many years at Leviton Manufacturing in Warwick. She

1-10

also belonged to the Cristofaro Colombo Lodge #2413 and was a member of the Greenwood

1-11

Terrace Association; and

1-12

     WHEREAS, Grace had a life-long passion for cooking and was a great cook. She also

1-13

enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. She ardently believed in performing one’s civic

1-14

obligations and always voted and stayed up-to-date on current affairs. She was an energetic

1-15

supporter of Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian; and

1-16

     WHEREAS, Grace will be sorely missed by her family and friends. All who knew her

1-17

will miss her great sense of humor, her warmth, and her compassion for others. She will always

1-18

have a place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her; now, therefore be it

1-19

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

1-20

Providence Plantations hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Grace M. Quinn; and

1-21

be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he is hereby authorized and directed to

2-2

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Carol A. Layden, Joseph Perry, Karen G.

Martufi, John J. Quinn Jr., and Mary Gatta.
