It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |

     SECTION 1. Chapter 42-11 of the General Laws entitled "Department of |

Administration" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |

     42-11-22. Approval of contracts for nonprofit organizations or agencies. – |
1-4 |
Notwithstanding any public law or general law of the state of Rhode Island to the contrary, more |
1-5 |
specifically chapter 37-2, the director of administration shall not approve any contract or contract |
1-6 |
for services with a nonprofit organization or agency unless the organization or agency fully |
1-7 |
discloses all executives’ compensation and administrative costs which shall be considered by the |
1-8 |
director when awarding the contract. The department of administration is hereby authorized to |
1-9 |
promulgate rules and regulations to carry out the purpose of this section. |
1-10 |
     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
