EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF | |

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Lorraine |

F. Williams-Sousa, beloved wife of Richard Williams and the widow of the late Walter Sousa; |
1-3 |
and |
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Fall River, Lorraine had resided in East Providence and Cranston |
1-5 |
before retiring to the sunshine of Florida. She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Frances |
1-6 |
Rebello, and the sister of Robert Rebello, Ruth Desmarais, Jean Carroll, and John Rebello; and |
1-7 |
     WHEREAS, Lorraine was blessed with a large and loving family. She was the devoted |
1-8 |
mother of Laurie DiPietro McMahon, Walter Sousa, Jr., and his wife, Donna, and Cathi-Jo |
1-9 |
Finnerty. She was also the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, David, Jason, Lindsay, |
1-10 |
Walter, and Lauren, five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jonathon, Angelea, Madison, and Colin, and |
1-11 |
a step-daughter, Dawn Williams; and |
1-12 |
     WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold great empathy and sorrow for Lorraine’s |
1-13 |
family. She enriched the lives of all who knew her and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore |
1-14 |
be it |

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
1-16 |
Providence Plantations hereby expresses deepest sympathy on the passing of Lorraine F. |

Williams-Sousa; and be it further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
1-19 |
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Richard Williams, Robert Rebello, Ruth |
