HONORING REPRESENTATIVE GREGORY J. SCHADONE FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE | |
PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND | |

     WHEREAS, It is with considerable regret that this House must say good-bye to The |

Honorable Gregory Schadone; and |
1-3 |
     WHEREAS, The Honorable Gregory Schadone graduated from Moses Brown School. |
1-4 |
He continued his education, earning his Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and his Juris |
1-5 |
Doctor from the New England School of Law; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, Married to his lovely wife, Christina, Representative Schadone is the proud |
1-7 |
father of two children, Danielle and Matthew, and is self-employed in private practice as an |
1-8 |
attorney; and |
1-9 |
      WHEREAS, On November 3rd of 1998, Greg Schadone was elected to the Rhode Island |
1-10 |
House of Representatives. He currently serves as Representative from District 54, which |
1-11 |
encompasses neighborhoods in the City of North Providence. Over the past fourteen years, he has |
1-12 |
served his constituents and the citizens of Rhode Island with distinction and integrity; and |
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, Representative Schadone is currently serving as a Member of the House |
1-14 |
Municipal Government Committee and has previously been the Deputy Majority Leader and |
1-15 |
Secretary of the House Committee on Labor and the House Committee on Rules. He has been a |
1-16 |
tireless advocate for his constituency and has been outspoken on many causes; and |
1-17 |
      WHEREAS, Active on myriad local and professional organizations, Representative |
1-18 |
Schadone is a member of the American Bar Association, the Rhode Island Bar Association, the |
1-19 |
American Trial Lawyers Association, the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association, the Justinian |
1-20 |
Law Society, the Lions Club, Big Brothers of Rhode Island, the Italo-American Club, a member |

of the Advisory Board for the Alzheimer's Cure Foundation, and a member of the American Land |
2-2 |
Title Association; and |
2-3 |
      WHEREAS, Representative Schadone has touched the lives of so many people through |
2-4 |
his diligent efforts and with the legislation he has supported and fought to enact. He is truly an |
2-5 |
extraordinary man who serves as a model of dedicated and conscientious civic service, and he is |
2-6 |
eminently worthy of our gratitude and acknowledgement; now, therefore be it |
2-7 |
     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
2-8 |
Providence Plantations hereby honors Representative Gregory J. Schadone as he concludes his |
2-9 |
service in the Rhode Island General Assembly. We thank him for a job well done, and extend our |
2-10 |
sincere wishes for his continued health, happiness, and success; and be it further |
2-11 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-12 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to The Honorable Gregory J. Schadone. |
