EXPRESSING HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF | |
PASQUALE D'AMICO | |

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |

Pasquale D’Amico, the devoted husband of Anna D’Amico for fifty-two years, and the loving |
1-3 |
father of Thomas D’Amico and Deborah Marandola. He was also the proud grandfather of |
1-4 |
Deanna, Paul, and Gianna, and the brother of Dolores Dickervitz, and the late Victoria Viscione, |
1-5 |
Roseanna Imondi, Eugenia Gaines, and Nicholas and John D'Amico; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, Pasquale D’Amico, known as Tom to his family and many friends, was the |
1-7 |
son of the late Pasquale and Caroline D’Amico. He had been employed as an Equipment |
1-8 |
Maintenance Supervisor for the Public Works Department in the City of Providence until his |
1-9 |
retirement in December of 2011, and was the owner of Tom's Barber Shop on Smith Street in |
1-10 |
Providence; and |
1-11 |
     WHEREAS, An incredibly hard working man, Tom had also been the Secretary |
1-12 |
Treasurer and Field Representative for the Public Employees' Local Union 1033, LIUNA, |
1-13 |
Providence since 1973, and the Chairman of the Providence Employees' Retirement Board and |
1-14 |
the Auditor for the RI Laborers District Council; and |
1-15 |
     WHEREAS, Living his life to the fullest, Tom had a loving family and enjoyed a wide |
1-16 |
circle of friends. He was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and a twelve year member of |
1-17 |
the St. Jude Society at St. Agnes; and |
1-18 |
     WHEREAS, Tom D’Amico left an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the good |
1-19 |
fortune of being a part of his life and his memory will live forever in the minds and hearts of his |
1-20 |
family and many friends; now, therefore be it |

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
2-2 |
hereby offers our sincere condolences on the passing of Pasquale D’Amico; and be it further |
2-3 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-4 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Anna D’Amico and Family. |
