RELATING TO MOTOR AND OTHER VEHICLES - MOBILE AND MANUFACTURED

HOMES

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 31-44 of the General Laws entitled "Mobile and Manufactured

Homes" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:

     31-44-13.1. Future qualified sale of mobile and manufactured home community. – A

1-4

qualified sale of a mobile and manufactured home in a resident-owned community is exempt

1-5

from the excise tax imposed under this chapter and/or other excise tax imposed pursuant to the

1-6

general laws.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
