EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ANNA M. CULLIS | |

      WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Anna |

M. Cullis, a woman who was deeply devoted to her family. Born ninety-two years ago in |
1-3 |
Providence to the late Adam and Johanna (Rosol) Opielawski, Anna was the wife of the late |
1-4 |
James P. Cullis; and |
1-5 |
     WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold great empathy and sorrow for her family. We |
1-6 |
grieve with her daughters, Paula A. LaRocque and her husband, Rodney, Janice A. Hoover, and |
1-7 |
Pamela A. Cullis and her partner, Meri Greenwald. She was the very proud grandmother of Julie |
1-8 |
and Steven Motta, Jeffrey and Maureen LaRocque, and Christopher White and his partner, |
1-9 |
Krystal Murphy, and great-grandmother of Amanda and Ashley Motta, and Marygrace, Teresa |
1-10 |
Rose, and Jack LaRocque; and |
1-11 |
     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of Anna, |
1-12 |
so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which she lived every day of her |
1-13 |
life; now, therefore be it |
1-14 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
1-15 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathy to the family of Anna M. Cullis. She will be truly missed; |
1-16 |
and be it further |

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the family of Anna M. Cullis. |
