S E N A T E R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF GERTRUDE DUMONT

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of

Gertrude Dumont, beloved daughter of the late Jean Paul and Jeanne Proulx; and

1-3

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Dumont was the devoted wife of Normand H. Dumont, the loving

1-4

mother of Lisa Aponte, Mitchell Dumont, Jonathan Dumont, Richard Dumont, and James

1-5

Dumont, and the very proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren;

1-6

and

1-7

     WHEREAS, Our hearts also hold great empathy and sorrow for her extended family. 

1-8

Mrs. Dumont was the sister of Edmond Proulx, Robert Proulx, Marcel Proulx, Jacqueline Sigler,

Claire Taylor, Janet McCoy, and the late Maurice Proulx and Marie Roy; and

1-10

     WHEREAS, In addition to her family life, Mrs. Dumont had retired from the Central

1-11

Falls School Department; and

1-12

     WHEREAS, Gertrude Dumont was the heart of her family. She was a loving wife, a

1-13

wonderful mother, and a doting grandmother and she enriched the lives of all who knew her. She

1-14

will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

1-15

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

1-16

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Dumont and Proulx Families on the passing

1-17

of Gertrude Dumont; and be it further

2-18

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-19

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Normand H. Dumont and Family.
