EXPRESSING OUR CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING DOMENIC IZZI | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |

Domenic Izzi, a man who was deeply devoted to his family. We grieve with his parents, Domenic |
1-3 |
and Lois Izzi, sister, LoAnn Izzi-Natale, his brother-in-law, Robert Natale, and his nephews, |
1-4 |
Robbie and Tony Natale. Domenic was the grandson of Manuel Medeiros and the late Doris |
1-5 |
(MeMe) Medeiros, and the late Valentino and the late June Izzi; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, Domenic was born in Providence and graduated from Smithfield High |
1-7 |
School. He furthered his education by attending the Community College of Rhode Island, New |
1-8 |
England Tech, and the Rhode Island School of Design. He was an avid digital photographer, HD |
1-9 |
videographer/editor, web and print designer, as well as an expert computer technician. His love |
1-10 |
for photography was evident in the beautiful photos he took of landscapes at dusk and dawn, |
1-11 |
some of which were exhibited on Weather.com, Sky Chasers.net, and Rhode Island/travel.org; |
1-12 |
and |
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, In 1995, Domenic demonstrated his creativity when he won first prize in a |
1-14 |
contest by a radio station for producing a short film in the City of Providence advertising the |
1-15 |
station’s logo. He was the editor of the film "THE STATION" Pheonix Rising, the nightclub fire |
1-16 |
documentary, which was entered into the Rhode Island International Film Festival on August 8, |
1-17 |
2009; and |
1-18 |
     WHEREAS, Traveling to the San Francisco area, he created videos for numerous vocal |
1-19 |
artists such as Maria Muldur, Buddy Greico, Sarah Burnhart, as well as the Shirelles. He also |
1-20 |
worked on videos for bands such as Tesla and Nomar and produced videos for his friends who |
1-21 |
were in bands. He had a passion for playing drums and adored cats, especially his "Darlin" who |
2-1 |
held a special place in his heart. Domenic had been a member of Local Union 271 for eleven |
2-2 |
years and worked for New England Laborers' Media Department; and |
2-3 |
     WHEREAS, Those who knew Domenic will miss his boundless energy, his flashing |
2-4 |
humor, and his strength of character. His absence will be felt throughout the local music industry; |
2-5 |
and |
2-6 |
     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of |
2-7 |
Domenic, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which he lived every day |
2-8 |
of his life; and |
2-9 |
     WHEREAS, A devoted son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, |
2-10 |
Domenic Izzi will live on for many years to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough |
2-11 |
to have been touched by the quality of this remarkable man; now, therefore be it |
2-12 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
2-13 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathy to the entire Izzi family on the passing of Domenic Izzi. |
2-14 |
He enriched the lives of all who knew him and will be dearly missed; and be it further |
2-15 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-16 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Izzi Family. |
