EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF FRANCINE L. SCANLON | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |

Francine L. Scanlon, the beloved wife of John G. Scanlon, devoted mother of John W. Scanlon, |
1-3 |
and the proud grandmother of three grandchildren; and |
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, A long-time resident of the Town of Lincoln, Mrs. Scanlon was born in |
1-5 |
Providence. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn Pettinato and is survived by her |
1-6 |
brother, David Pettinato; and |
1-7 |
     WHEREAS, In addition to making a home for her family, Mrs. Scanlon had been |
1-8 |
employed as a specialty chef at Hasbro, Inc., and had previously worked at Roger Williams |
1-9 |
University; and |
1-10 |
     WHEREAS, Mrs. Scanlon had also been a member of St. Jude’s Church and was a long- |
1-11 |
time volunteer at Friends of Hearthside in Lincoln; and |
1-12 |
     WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Francine Scanlon, a beloved wife and mother, left an |
1-13 |
indelible mark on the lives of those she knew and loved and she will be dearly missed; now, |
1-14 |
therefore be it |
1-15 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
1-16 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the Scanlon Family on the passing of Francine L. |
1-17 |
Scanlon; and be it further |
2-18 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-19 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to John G. Scanlon and Family. |
