EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ALBERT J. ST. PIERRE

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Albert J. St.

1-2

Pierre, a man who was deeply devoted to his family and friends. Our thoughts and hearts hold

1-3

great empathy and sorrow for his loving wife of 56 years, Estelle M. (Lefebvre) St. Pierre, his

1-4

daughter, Danielle M. Nelson, sons, Alan, Rory, and Brian St. Pierre, eleven grandchildren, and

1-5

nieces and nephews, on their tremendous loss. Mr. St. Pierre was also the brother of Doris Clark,

1-6

the late Leon and Harold St. Pierre, and Edna Barbato; and

1-7

     WHEREAS, Albert was born in Providence eighty years ago, the son of the late Emile

1-8

and Beatrice (Scott) St. Pierre; and

1-9

     WHEREAS, Mr. St. Pierre was a master electrician and the founder of Al's Electric, as

1-10

well as owner and operator of Al St. Pierre & Sons, Inc. His outstanding work ethic was matched

1-11

only by his commitment to his family and his incredible sense of humor; and

1-12

     WHEREAS, A member of the armed forces, Mr. St. Pierre proudly served as a petty

1-13

officer in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of the North

1-14

Providence V.F.W. Post. Mr. St. Pierre enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course and in

1-15

the company of his friends and family; and

1-16

     WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of

1-17

Albert, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and compassion with which he lived every day

1-18

of his life; and

1-19

     WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Albert J.

1-20

St. Pierre will live on for many years to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to

1-21

have been touched by the quality of this remarkable gentleman; now, therefore be it

2-1

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

2-2

hereby expresses our deepest sympathy to the family of Albert J. St. Pierre; and be it further

2-3

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

2-4

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Estelle M. St. Pierre.
