S E N A T E R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF ANNE REYNOLDS

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Anne

Reynolds, beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Reynolds and the devoted mother of two daughters,

1-3

Maribeth K. Calabro and her husband, William, and Melissa A. Spriggs and her husband, Jamie;

1-4

and

1-5

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of the late Commander

1-6

Walter J. Cahill (PPD) and the late Margaret M. Cahill; and

1-7

     WHEREAS, Upon receiving her Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees from Rhode

1-8

Island College, Mrs. Reynolds had been a school teacher at Mercymount in Cumberland for forty

1-9

years and also with the Providence Public School System; and

1-10

     WHEREAS, Anne Reynolds’ loving personality created and nurtured a marriage that

1-11

flourished, and a home that was warm and welcoming.  She doted on her family, particularly her

1-12

grandson, Nicolas.  Her caring nature made her the kind of mother and grandmother that every

1-13

child needs and deserves; and

1-14

     WHEREAS, Anne Reynolds was the heart and soul of her family.  Her kindheartedness

1-15

and sincerity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished memories of her

1-16

entire family.  She enriched the lives of all who had the good fortune to have known her and she

1-17

will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

1-18

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

1-19

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Anne Reynolds; and be it further

1-20

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to

1-21

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Maribeth K. Calabro and Family, and Melissa

A. Spriggs and Family.
