RELATING TO LABOR AND LABOR RELATIONS - HOISTING ENGINEERS

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Section 28-26-10 of the General Laws in Chapter 28-26 entitled "Hoisting

Engineers" is hereby amended to read as follows:

     28-26-10. License fees. – (a) Each applicant for an examination for a license as an

engineer shall pay to the division at the time of application a fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00),

and for each license or renewal of a license a fee at the biennial rate of ninety-six dollars ($96.00)

for a full license, eighty-four dollars ($84.00) for a hoisting license, seventy-two dollars ($72.00)

for an excavating license, and sixty dollars ($60.00) for a limited license, these fees to be

deposited as general revenues.

     (b) Qualified employees and volunteers of the Glocester land trust and the Glocester

conservation commission shall be exempt from any fees for testing and issuance of limited

1-11

licenses under this chapter.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

     This act would amend the fee structure for hoisting engineers by exempting qualified

employees and volunteers of the Glocester land trust and the Glocester conservation commission

from prescribed fees associated with testing and the issuance of limited licenses under this

2-4

chapter.

     This act would take effect upon passage.
