THANKING ELIZABETH HABERSHAW FOR TEN YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE TO | |
THE RHODE ISLAND GENERAL ASSEMBLY AND OFFERING CONGRATULATIONS | |
ON HER ENGAGEMENT | |

     WHEREAS, Everyone loves a happy ending -- and an even happier beginning -- and so it |

is with great delight and pride that we bid adieu and offer our heartfelt congratulations to Liz |
1-3 |
Habershaw, Assistant Head Page to this House of Representatives and newly engaged fiancée of |
1-4 |
Head Page, Rolly Proulx; and |
1-5 |
     WHEREAS, Liz has served the Rhode Island General Assembly since January of 2004, |
1-6 |
when she was hired as a Page to the House of Representatives. Over the course of this past year, |
1-7 |
she has been responsible for managing the 100 or so current House Pages, as well as transmitting |
1-8 |
bills to and from the Senate and assisting the Speaker with day-to-day operations; and |
1-9 |
     WHEREAS, While these hallowed halls have blossomed many a romance, Liz and Rolly |
1-10 |
actually met at La Salle Academy, where they were both students. A few years after Liz started |
1-11 |
as a Page, she helped pave the way for Rolly and for the next eight years, the two spent a great |
1-12 |
deal of time working together during sessions; and |
1-13 |
     WHEREAS, Liz often spent long and arduous hours on the House floor during the late |
1-14 |
afternoon and evening after having attended classes or undergoing hours of clinical training |
1-15 |
through the day. During the years she worked at the State House, she graduated from La Salle |
1-16 |
Academy, attended St. Joseph School of Nursing, completed five and a half semesters of training |
1-17 |
at various hospitals, and just recently, earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College; |
1-18 |
and |
1-19 |
     WHEREAS, With a new job as a Telemetry Nurse at Fatima Hospital and a December |
1-20 |
2014 wedding to plan, Liz is continuing to pursue her future, and though we will miss her dearly, |
2-1 |
we are proud to have played a small role in her life and in helping her to attain her dreams; now, |
2-2 |
therefore be it |

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
2-4 |
Providence Plantations hereby thanks Elizabeth Habershaw for her ten years of dedicated service |
2-5 |
to the Rhode Island General Assembly. We moreover wish her the brightest future and a happy |
2-6 |
marriage; and be it further |
2-7 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-8 |
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Ms. Elizabeth Habershaw. |
