EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF | |
WARREN M. MCNEILLY | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Warren |

M. McNeilly, the devoted husband of Barbara McNeilly, and who was predeceased by his wife of |
1-3 |
fifty-eight years, the late Christiane McNeilly; and |
1-4 |
     WHEREAS, Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, Warren McNeilly was a son of the late |
1-5 |
Scott and Evangeline McNeilly, and brother of the late Katherine Johansen, Ralph, and George |
1-6 |
McNeilly; and |
1-7 |
     WHEREAS, Mr. McNeilly was the loving father of nine children, Martha Foutch, Joan |
1-8 |
Nesbitt, Deborah Silvestri, Senate Staffer Patricia McNeilly, Scott McNeilly, Warren McNeilly, |
1-9 |
Jr., Mark McNeilly, Jonathan McNeilly, and Kirk McNeilly, and three step children, Dr. Amy |
1-10 |
Robinson, Thomas Robinson, and William Robinson, USN. He was also the beloved grandfather |
1-11 |
of fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; and |
1-12 |
     WHEREAS, A conscientious and hard-working man, Warren McNeilly originally retired |
1-13 |
in 1974 after thirty-two years at the Quonset Point Naval Air Station, where he was employed as |
1-14 |
a Supervisor of overhaul and repair. He was subsequently employed for thirty-nine years as an |
1-15 |
independent contractor and consultant working for various engineering firms. He retired from his |
1-16 |
second career in January of 2013 on his 92nd birthday; and |
1-17 |
     WHEREAS, Warren McNeilly spent much of his life providing for and taking care of his |
1-18 |
family, and in return, he was blessed with their love and devotion. He enriched the lives of all |
1-19 |
who knew him and will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
2-20 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
2-21 |
hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Barbara McNeilly and the entire McNeilly |
2-22 |
Family on the passing of their beloved and venerable patriarch, Warren M. McNeilly; and be it |
2-23 |
further |

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-25 |
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Barbara McNeilly and Family, and Patricia |
2-26 |
McNeilly. |
