MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $1,750,000 OF CAPITAL FUNDS TO RHODE ISLAND

HOUSING

     WHEREAS, The $1,750,000 would fund the completion of 69 units of housing for

homeless veterans and their families; and

     WHEREAS, The funds would be allocated as following: $100,000 for Operation Stand

1-4

Down on Peirce St. in Westerly for 10 units; $150,000 to Omni at 1890 House to fund 26 units;

$1.3 million for Omni Development Corp/RIVAC on 3-5 Convent Street in Providence for 13

one-bedroom units; and $200,000 for Blackstone ARC in Providence for 20 units; now, therefore

     RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not

otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2013-2014 the sum of $1,750,000 for funding the

1-10

completion of 69 units of housing for homeless veterans and their families; and the state

1-11

controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw orders upon the general treasurer for the

1-12

payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be from time to time required, upon receipt of

1-13

properly authenticated vouchers.
