1-1 |
WHEREAS, It is with the utmost sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of |
1-2 |
Anne C. (Walaska) Riccitelli, a woman whose greatest joy was found in the simple pleasure of |
1-3 |
spending time with her dear family. Born seventy-one years ago in Providence to the late Chester |
1-4 |
and Celeste (Remus) Walaska, Anne was the wife of the late Michael D. Riccitelli and was a life- |
1-5 |
long resident of Warwick; and |
1-6 |
WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold empathy and sorrow for her family. We grieve |
1-7 |
with her children, Michael and his wife, Diane (Tomassi) Riccitelli, and Karen Lefebvre and her |
1-8 |
husband, Leo. She was cherished by her grandchildren, Tara, Michael, Jr., Matthew, Andrew, and |
1-9 |
Robert, Jr. Anne was also the loving sister of our colleague, Senator William A. Walaska and his |
1-10 |
wife, Marsha, and sister-in-law to Marilyn Walaska; and |
1-11 |
WHEREAS, In addition to her parents and husband, Anne was preceded in death by her |
1-12 |
son, Robert Riccitelli, and her brother, Henry J. Walaska; and |
1-13 |
WHEREAS, Mrs. Riccitelli lived a rich and full life. For many years, she was employed |
1-14 |
as the office manager at Tri-State Automotive Warehouse in Providence. She was a dedicated |
1-15 |
communicant of St. Kevin Church in Warwick, where she served and inspired fellow members of |
1-16 |
her parish as a Eucharistic Minister. An active and enthusiastic supporter of St. Kevin School, she |
1-17 |
started St. Kevin's Home School Association along with her husband; and |
1-18 |
WHEREAS, Even though we are diminished by this loss and mourn the passing of |
1-19 |
Anne, so must we celebrate the spirit, generosity, and courage with which she lived every day of |
1-20 |
her life; and |
2-1 |
WHEREAS, Our greatest tribute to Anne would be to emulate the qualities which made |
2-2 |
her an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and neighbor. Anne Riccitelli will |
2-3 |
live on for many years to come in the memories of everyone fortunate enough to have been |
2-4 |
touched by the quality of this remarkable woman; now, therefore be it |
2-5 |
RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
2-6 |
hereby expresses its deepest sympathy to the family of Anne C. Riccitelli at this time of |
2-7 |
tremendous loss and grief. She will be truly missed; and be it further |
