EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE AND CHANGING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND FIREARMS SAFETY TASK FORCE TO REVIEW, AND

MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR, STATUTES RELATING TO FIREARMS AND

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES

     RESOLVED, That the membership of the special legislative study commission created

2

by resolution No. 397 passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2013, and by resolution

3

No. 401 passed by the House at its January session, A.D. 2013, both approved July 11, 2013,

4

entitled "Joint Resolution Creating A Behavioral Health And Firearms Safety Task Force To

5

Review, And Make Recommendations For, Statutes Relating To Firearms And Behavioral Health

6

Issues" is hereby changed by replacing the "State Court Administrator" with a licensed clinical

7

psychologist with over twenty (20) years of experience. The commission is authorized to continue

8

its study and make a report to the General Assembly on or before February 28, 2014, and said

9

commission shall expire on June 30, 2014; and be it further

10

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by Resolution No. 397 passed by the

11

Senate at its January session, A.D. 2013, and by resolution No. 401 passed by the House at its

12

January session, A.D. 2013, both approved July 11, 2013, entitled "Joint Resolution Creating A

13

Behavioral Health And Firearms Safety Task Force To Review, And Make Recommendations

14

For, Statutes Relating To Firearms And Behavioral Health Issues" be and the same is hereby

15

rescinded.

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

EXTENDING THE REPORTING DATE AND CHANGING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND FIREARMS SAFETY TASK FORCE TO REVIEW, AND

MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR, STATUTES RELATING TO FIREARMS AND

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ISSUES

     This resolution would change the membership of the Behavioral Health and Firearms

2

Safety Task Force by replacing the State Court Administrator with a licensed clinical

3

psychologist and extending the reporting date to February 28, 2014.
