It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 45-3 of the General Laws entitled "Town Meetings" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 45-3-20.1. Voting at financial town meetings Voting at financial town meetings – |
4 | Coventry. - Whenever it is necessary to vote on appropriation of funds at a financial town |
5 | meeting, in the town of Coventry, there shall be no voice votes and only paper ballots or stand-up |
6 | votes shall be used so that appropriate documentation of the vote will be registered. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
