	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 21-36-3 of the General Laws in Chapter 21-36 entitled "The Inter-
2	Agency Food & Nutrition Policy Advisory Council" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3	21-36-3. Council composition. -- There shall be an inter-agency food and nutrition
4	policy advisory council which shall consist of three (3) seven (7) members: the director of health,
5	or his or her designee; the director of environmental management, or his or her designee; and the
6	director of administration, or his or her designee.; the director of the department of human
7	services, or his or her designee; the director of the division of elderly affairs, or his or her
8	designee; the director of the department of corrections, or his or her designee; and the
9	commissioner of elementary and secondary education, or his or her designee. The members of the
10	commission shall elect a chairperson from among themselves.
11	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

1	This act would increase the membership of the Inter-agency food and nutrition policy
2	advisory council from three (3) to seven (7) members, expanding the council to include the
3	director of the department of human services, the director of the division of elderly affairs, the
4	director of the department of corrections and the commissioner of elementary and secondary
5	education or their designees.
6	This act would take effect upon passage.
