It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 31-3-43 of the General Laws in Chapter 31-3 entitled "Registration |
2 | of Vehicles" is hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 31-3-43. Sheriffs' department plates. -- The administrator of the division of motor |
4 | vehicles shall issue to the sheriffs' departments of the various counties, for use on state owned |
5 | vehicles used by the departments, a special identifying number plate in numerical sequence |
6 | preceded by the words "sheriff's department", the plates to be limited to nine (9) sets, numbered |
7 | one through and including nine (9). |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
