It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other general or special law to the contrary, Edward J. |
2 | Finn, Ph.D., may join Christian B. W. Stephens and Laura E. Bange in marriage within the City |
3 | of Newport, Rhode Island, on or about July 4, 2014. Edward J. Finn, Ph.D., is hereby authorized |
4 | and empowered to join the foregoing persons in marriage pursuant to and in accordance with |
5 | chapter 15-3 of the general laws, entitled "Solemnization of Marriages." |
6 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
