RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING PATRICK J. REGAN ON ACHIEVING SCOUTING'S | |
MOST DISTINGUISHED HONOR, THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT | |

1 | WHEREAS, Earning an Eagle Scout Badge is the pinnacle of achievement within the |
2 | Boy Scouts of America. It is an exceptional distinction achieved by fewer than seven percent of |
3 | all the young men who enter scouting; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Patrick J. Regan is a remarkable young man worthy of this prestigious |
5 | achievement and his accomplishments are truly deserving of our recognition; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Patrick has proven to be an exceptional young man and leader within the |
7 | Boy Scouts. He has served his troop in numerous leadership positions including Troop Scribe, |
8 | Patrol Leader, and Assistant Patrol leader. He has earned twenty-two merit badges in his |
9 | distinguished scouting career; and |
10 | WHEREAS, As the highlight of his scouting years, Patrick completed the final step |
11 | toward obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout by planning and carrying out an extensive Eagle service |
12 | project. He worked with the Cumberland Senior Center to finance, design and landscape the |
13 | perimeter of the Center with the assistance of scout volunteers; and |
14 | WHEREAS, Patrick is an exceptional student with a bright future ahead of him. His plans |
15 | include attending the University of Montana to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree from the |
16 | College of Forestry and Resource Conservation; and |
17 | WHEREAS, It is essential and fitting to recognize the triumphs of our youth, and to |
18 | celebrate the accomplishments of our future leaders. Patrick J. Regan is a remarkable young man |
19 | who exemplifies everything an Eagle Scout should be, and all that we hope our children will |

1 | grow to be; now, therefore be it |
2 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
3 | Providence Plantations hereby honors Patrick J. Regan for his untiring service to the community |
4 | and for setting a high standard of commitment and dedication by which the youth of this great |
5 | state may follow. We congratulate Patrick for all he has done to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, |
6 | and extend our very best wishes for good health and happiness in the months and years ahead; |
7 | and be it further |
8 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
9 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Eagle Scout Patrick J. Regan. |
