1 | WHEREAS, It is fitting that this House recognizes those students who, through their |
2 | talents and unflagging commitment to excellence, have distinguished themselves and their |
3 | communities; and |
4 | WHEREAS, The Tolman High School Cheerleading Team comprised of team members |
5 | Alexandra Aguiar, Samantha Aguilar, Ivelisse Avila, Cristin Chiaverini, Stephanie Dosthene, |
6 | Caterina Estrela, Allison Feather, Justice Gaudreau, Megan Klemanchuck, Kathryn Marchese, |
7 | Meghan Maynard, Jahayra Navarro, Kelly Ogden, Kelsey Pedro, Mackenzie Plante, Jaidyn |
8 | Quinn, Raivon Reynolds, Patricia Santos, Alexia Wahl, and Alexus Xavier, under the guidance of |
9 | Head Coach Jessica MacLaughlin, and Assistant Coaches Sarah Bolano and Chelsea Worthington |
10 | have experienced a momentous achievement that no other Rhode Island Team of Cheerleaders |
11 | ever attained; and |
12 | WHEREAS, With beauty and grace under pressure and demonstrating amazing athletic |
13 | skills, members of the Tolman Cheerleading Team jumped, danced, twirled, and chanted their |
14 | way to victory in the Division III New England Regional Championship, beating teams from |
15 | twelve other schools from five New England states; and |
16 | WHEREAS, High school athletic programs provide students with the opportunity to |
17 | participate in rewarding team experiences and programs that enhance their overall educational |
18 | experience and oftentimes create life-long memories; and |
19 | WHEREAS, These talented young ladies are most certainly a tremendous source of pride |

1 | not only for their parents, but for their school and community as well, and we are proud to honor |
2 | their triumph; now, therefore be it |
3 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
4 | Providence Plantations hereby applauds and congratulates team members and coaches of the |
5 | Tolman High School Cheerleading Team on winning the Division III New England Regional |
6 | Championship. We furthermore extend our sincere wishes for their continued success, good |
7 | health, and much happiness; and be it further |
8 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
9 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Jessica MacLaughlin, Head Coach of the |
10 | Tolman Cheerleading Team. |
