RELATING TO FISH AND WILDLIFE

     

     Introduced By: Senators Miller, Lynch, and Metts

     It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 20-14 of the General Laws entitled "Birds" is hereby amended by

adding thereto the following section:

     20-14-8.2. West shore of the Providence River. – No person shall take, kill, destroy, or

4

pursue or in any manner molest any wild bird in that part of the cities of Warwick and Cranston

5

on the west shore of that portion of upper Narragansett Bay, which is also known as the

6

Providence River, from Gaspee Point to Fields Point or within one thousand feet (1,000') of the

7

west shore or banks of the Providence River from Gaspee Point to Fields Point.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

     This act would prohibit the taking, killing, destroying, pursuing or molesting of any wild

2

bird along the west shore of the Providence River from Gaspee Point to Fields Point.

3

     This act would take effect upon passage.
