EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES AND AMENDING THE | |
MEMBERSHIP OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY RHODE | |
ISLAND'S ZONING AND SUBDIVISION ENABLING ACTS | |

1 | RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 416 |
2 | passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2013, and approved July 17, 2013 |
3 | entitled "Joint Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission To Study Rhode Island's |
4 | Zoning and Subdivision Enabling Acts" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a |
5 | report to the General Assembly on or before January 15, 2015, and said commission shall expire |
6 | on June 15, 2015, and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 416 passed by the |
8 | General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2013, and approved July 17, 2013, be and the same |
9 | is hereby rescinded; and be it further |
10 | RESOLVED, That the composition of said legislative commission is hereby amended by |
11 | changing the membership to eleven (11) members; one of whom shall be a member of the House |
12 | of Representatives, to be appointed by the Speaker; one of whom shall be a member of the |
13 | Senate, to be appointed by the President of the Senate; one of whom shall be the President of the |
14 | Builders' Association, or designee; one of whom shall be the Executive Director of Grow Smart |
15 | Rhode Island, or designee; one of whom shall be the Executive Director of the League of Cities |
16 | and Towns, or designee; one of whom shall be the President of the Rhode Island Chapter of the |
17 | American Planning Association, or designee; one of whom shall be the Associate Director of the |
18 | Rhode Island Division of Planning, or designee; one of whom shall be a representative of the |
19 | Office of Regulatory Reform, to be appointed by the Governor; one of whom shall be a |

1 | representative of the business industry, to be appointed by the Speaker; one of whom shall be a |
2 | municipal planner, to be appointed by the President of the Senate; and one of whom shall be a |
3 | municipal zoning official, to be appointed by the President of the Senate. |

2 | (5) to eleven (11), and extend the reporting date of the special legislative commission to study |
