	RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY - COMPREHENSIVE CHILDREN'S JEWELRY
	SAFETY ACT

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Section 23-24.11-3 of the General Laws in Chapter 23-24.11 entitled
2	"Comprehensive Children's Jewelry Safety Act" is hereby amended to read as follows:
3	23-24.11-3. Requirements. -- All children's jewelry manufactured sold one hundred
4	eighty (180) days after the effective date of this act shall meet the requirements of ASTM F 2923-
5	11.
6	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

1	This act would require that all children's jewelry sold rather than manufactured conform
2	to the standards promulgated by the American society for testing and materials.
