S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING ITS DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE GIACOMINI FAMILY ON THE

PASSING OF FRANK GIACOMINI

     WHEREAS, Frank Giacomini, 87, of North Providence, passed away on January 18,

2014. He was the beloved husband of Lola (Galli) Giacomini and a son of the late Cataldo and

Filomena (Natalizia) Giacomini; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Giacomini was a distinguished Architectural Draftsman for many years

for Castelucci & Galli until his retirement. He also served our nation with honor and integrity

during World War II with the United States Navy; and

     WHEREAS, Frank was a distinguished community advocate. He worked tirelessly to

help establish services for the developmentally disabled in our state. He was Past President of the

John E. Fogarty Center in North Providence, and was past Secretary of the former RIARC. Frank

also served the Rhode Island State Senate as a Senate Doorkeeper; and

     WHEREAS, Besides his wife Lola, Frank leaves behind a son, Steven Giacomini, three

daughters, Karen and Robin Giacomini, and Laurie DiOrio, a brother, John Giacomini, a sister,

Ann Giacomini, four grandchildren, Kenna and Sean McGuire, and Jonathan and Jennifer

Giacomini, and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Angelo Giacomini, Felicia

DelPadre and Mary Assaiante; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its deepest condolences to the Giacomini family on the passing of Frank

Giacomini; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Lola Giacomini.
