It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 20-2-6 of the General Laws in Chapter 20-2 entitled "Licensing" is |
2 | hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 20-2-6. Appropriation of license fees. -- All moneys derived from payments received |
4 | from fresh water fishing, hunting, and combination licenses and permits in accordance with the |
5 | provisions of this chapter shall be deposited with the general treasurer and are appropriated to the |
6 | department for the protection and propagation of fish and game; and the state controller is |
7 | authorized and directed to draw his or her orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of |
8 | any sum, or sums, as may be necessary from time to time upon receipt by him or her of duly |
9 | authenticated vouchers presented by the director of environmental management; provided, |
10 | however, nothing in this section shall be construed to deprive the city and town clerks and agents |
11 | of their recording fees. The sum of two dollars ($2.00) from the sale of each license and permit |
12 | shall be placed in a special fund for the purposes of acquiring and developing fish and wildlife |
13 | lands acquisition, stewardship, and development of fish and wildlife lands. |
14 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
