S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF FRANK GAGLIONE

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Frank

Gaglione, husband of the late Emily Gaglione, beloved father of Barbara Megrdichian and her

husband Michael, and the late Frank A. Gaglione, and grandfather of Emili Vaziri and her

husband Bob, Michael Megrdichian and his wife Diane, and Frank Gaglione. He was also the

proud great-grandfather of Armand and Emilia, and is survived by his nephew Peter Fontana and

his wife RoseAnn; and

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence a son of the late Andrew and Maria Gaglione, Mr.

Gaglione was the brother of the late Joseph Gaglione, Peter Gaglione, and Anna Fontana. Before

retiring, he had been self-employed as a contractor and had developed many beautiful homes and

commercial developments throughout the state; and

     WHEREAS, Active in the community and in local politics, Mr. Gaglione had served on

numerous political and religious committees. He was a member of the State Democratic

Senatorial Committee, the Boy Scouts of America, the Rosario Club, St. Bartholomew's Society,

St. Mary's Feast Society, the Sons of Italy, the Young Pannese Social Club, and had been a

lifelong member of Elk's Lodge #14; and

     WHEREAS, Frank Gaglione lived a long, happy, and fulfilled life. He had reached his

centennial birthday in 2013, and was filled with a wisdom that can only be gained through life's

joys and tribulations; and

     WHEREAS, A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and

mentor, Frank Gaglione radiated an exuberance, loyalty, and sincerity along his extraordinary

journey that is inspiring and he will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Gaglione family on the passing of Frank

Gaglione; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and is hereby authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Barbara Megrdichian and Family.
