EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF PAUL RONDEAU | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Paul |
2 | Rondeau, the beloved husband for almost sixty years to Veronica "Ronnie" Rondeau, the devoted |
3 | father of Deborah Fioravanti and her husband, Joseph, Paula Rondeau, our friend and colleague, |
4 | Veronica "Monica" Autiello and her husband, Richard, and Patricia Vescera and her husband, |
5 | Anthony. He was also the very proud grandfather of Lindsay D'Antuono, Ashley and Marc |
6 | Fioravanti, and Celine and Kennedy Vescera, and the cherished great-grandfather of Briella |
7 | Fioravanti; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Born in West Warwick, Rhode Island, to the late Antoine and Clementine |
9 | Rondeau, Mr. Rondeau had been a longtime resident of the City of Providence. He was the |
10 | brother of the late Isidore, Domenic, Gerard, Noel, and Robert Rondeau, Emile and Wilfred |
11 | Ethier, Claire Desrosiers, and Irene Fontaine and is survived by many nieces and nephews; and |
12 | WHEREAS, Mr. Rondeau had served our nation with honor and distinction as a Staff |
13 | Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. For twenty-three years, he had been |
14 | employed as a security guard for Providence College until his retirement in 2012, and had |
15 | previously worked at Highland Textiles in Providence for thirty-five years; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Committed to the community and his church, Mr. Rondeau had served as |
17 | President of Club Dominicana at St. Pius V Church for a number of years, and had consistently |
18 | demonstrated his tireless commitment to his family and others. As a devoted husband, wonderful |
19 | father and loyal friend, he enriched the lives of all who knew him and will be dearly missed; now, |
20 | therefore be it |

1 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
2 | hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the entire Rondeau Family on the passing of Paul |
3 | Rondeau; and be it further |
4 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
5 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Veronica Rondeau and Family. |
