3 | entitled "JOINT RESOLUTION CREATING A SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO |
4 | STUDY THE PURCHASE AND USE OF TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS" and as |
5 | amended by resolution No. 415, passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. |
6 | 2011, and approved June 29, 2011, entitled "JOINT RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE |
7 | REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION |
8 | TO STUDY THE PURCHASE AND USE OF TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS" and as |
9 | amended by resolution No. 256 passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. |
10 | 2012, and approved January 31, 2012, entitled "JOINT RESOLUTION REINSTATING THE |
11 | LIFE OF AND EXTENDING THE REPORTING AND EXPIRATION DATES OF THE |
12 | SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE PURCHASE AND USE OF |
13 | TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS" is hereby authorized to continue its study and make a |
14 | report to the General Assembly on or before April 1, 2015, and said commission shall expire on |
15 | June 30, 2015; and be it further |
16 | RESOLVED, That the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase and Use of |
17 | Textbooks in Public Schools be and the same are hereby amended as follows: The commission |
18 | shall be known as "The Special Legislative Commission on the future of education in Rhode |
19 | Island"; and be it further |

1 | RESOLVED, That the time for reporting and date of expiration authorized by resolution |
2 | No. 375, passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2010 and approved June |
3 | 25, 2010, and as amended by resolution No. 415, passed by the General Assembly at its January |
4 | session, A.D. 2011 and approved June 29, 2011, and as amended by resolution No. 256, passed |
5 | by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2012 and approved January 31, 2012 be and |
6 | the same is hereby rescinded. |

3 | future of education in Rhode Island" and would extend the reporting and expiration dates from |
4 | December 31, 2014, to April 1, 2015, and said commission would expire on June 30, 2015. |
