CONGRATULATING PAUL R. BORRELLI ON HIS INSTALLATION AS PRESIDENT OF | |
THE ROTARY CLUB OF PROVIDENCE #22 | |

1 | WHEREAS, On July 17, 1911, the Providence Rotary Club was formally elected as the |
2 | 22nd member of the International Association of Rotary Clubs. The organization is composed of |
3 | local business and professional leaders, who advance the highest ethical standards in all |
4 | vocations, and provide humanitarian and charitable service to the community; and |
5 | WHEREAS, The installation of Paul R. Borrelli as the President of the Rotary Club of |
6 | Providence #22 on June 30th of 2014, is a distinction and honor he has earned through myriad |
7 | efforts he has put forth to the betterment of the community and our state; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Paul Borrelli is one of those rare individuals who is gifted with both artistic |
9 | talents and also possesses amazing business acumen; and |
10 | WHEREAS, As a musician, Mr. Borrelli played alongside many of the famous |
11 | entertainers of the day as a drummer with the Kaye Band, and later with his father and brothers in |
12 | the Perry Borrelli Orchestra; and |
13 | WHEREAS, While still performing, Mr. Borrelli decided to take classes at the Rhode |
14 | Island School of Design and subsequently began making jewelry. His endeavors resulted in the |
15 | beginning a new career when he joined P7G Manufacturing as the head designer; and |
16 | WHEREAS, In 1972, Mr. Borrelli joined his brother in the manufacturing of jewelry at |
17 | Borrelli, Inc., and eventually helped grow the company to encompass more than 250 employees; |
18 | and |
19 | WHEREAS, Never one to remain idle, in 1980, Mr. Borrelli assumed the responsibilities |

1 | of running the family's music and entertainment business after the passing of his father. Not |
2 | surprisingly, the company is now one of the largest event service companies in New England; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Indubitably, Paul Borelli has earned the unqualified admiration and respect |
4 | of business leaders, civic groups, and the public-at-large through his dedication and commitment |
5 | to the community and his myriad accomplishments, and he is eminently worthy of the distinctions |
6 | he has been afforded; now, therefore be it |
7 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
8 | hereby joins his wife Lucille, his children, Damon, Dana, and Laura, and his many friends and |
9 | admirers in recognizing, honoring, and congratulating Paul R. Borrelli on his installation as |
10 | President of the Rotary Club of Providence #22. We furthermore wish him good health, much |
11 | happiness, and continued success in all his endeavors; and be it further |
12 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
13 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Paul R. Borrelli. |
