H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

HONORING DR. WILLIAM M. CONLIN, M.D. ON HIS RETIREMENT AFTER MORE

THAN TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF DEVOTED AND DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE

CITIZENS OF WESTERLY AND RHODE ISLAND AS AN EMERGENCY ROOM

PHYSICIAN AND INTERNIST AT WESTERLY HOSPITAL

     WHEREAS, Dr. William M. Conlin was born on November 15, 1951, in Jersey City,

New Jersey. He graduated from New Jersey Medical School and practiced medicine at Rhode

Island Hospital until 1988, when he joined the staff at Westerly Hospital; and

     WHEREAS, Dr. Conlin is a dedicated public servant who has served his patients at

Westerly Hospital since 1988, with absolute integrity and compassion. Dr. Conlin is board-

certified in internal medicine and in emergency medicine. He has practiced medicine the past

twenty-seven years primarily with the Westerly Hospital Emergency Room. His calm demeanor

and expertise has saved the lives of many patients. Dr. Conlin is a superb diagnostician and has

always been very careful, prudent and respectful in the treatment of his patients. Dr. Conlin is

well-liked and highly respected by his colleagues at Westerly Hospital and his expertise and

abiding concern for his patients will be sorely missed; and

     WHEREAS, Dr. Conlin resides in Green Hill, South Kingstown, with his wife. He is the

father of two children, a son and daughter. In his spare time he likes to ski, play tennis, jog and

windsurf; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby congratulates Dr. William M. Conlin on his retirement after more

than twenty-five years of devoted and distinguished service to the citizens of Westerly and Rhode

Island. We thank him for his exemplary service to his patients and we wish him a most happy

retirement; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Dr. William M. Conlin, M.D.
