	REINSTATING AND EXTENDING THE COMMISSION LIFE AND AMENDING THE
	NAME OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE PURCHASE
	AND USE OF TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

1	RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by Resolution No. 375
2	passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2010, and approved June 25, 2010 entitled "Joint
3	Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase and Use of
4	Textbooks in Public Schools" and as amended by Resolution No. 415, passed by the Senate at its
5	January session, A.D. 2011, and approved June 29, 2011, entitled "Joint Resolution Extending the
6	Reporting and Expiration Dates of the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase and
7	Use of Textbooks in Public Schools" and as amended by Resolution No. 977, passed by the
8	Senate at its January session, A.D. 2013, and approved June 15, 2013, is hereby reinstated and the
9	same members are hereby reappointed, and it is authorized to continue its study and make a
10	report to the General Assembly on or before April 1, 2016 and said commission shall expire on
11	June 30, 2016; and be it further
12	RESOLVED, That the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase and Use of
13	Textbooks in Public Schools be and the same is hereby amended as follows: The commission
14	shall be known as "The Special Legislative Commission on Blended Learning"; and be it further
15	RESOLVED, That the time for reporting and date of expiration authorized by resolution
16	No. 375, and passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2010, and approved June 25, 2010,
17	and as amended by resolution No. 415, and passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D.
18	2011, and approved June 29, 2011, and as amended by Resolution No. 977, passed by the Senate
19	at its January session, A.D. 2013, and approved June 15, 2013, be and the same is hereby

	AND USE OF TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

1	This resolution would rename the Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase
2	and Use of Textbooks in Public Schools as "The Special Commission on Blended Learning" and
3	would reinstate and extend the reporting date of the commission from December 31, 2014, to
4	April 1, 2016, and said commission would expire on June 30, 2016.
