EXPRESSING SINCERE CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MURIEL A. SULLIVAN | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this House has learned of the passing of |
2 | Muriel A. Sullivan. Affectionately known as "Mickie" by her family and many friends, she was |
3 | the loving wife of John E. "Jack" Sullivan for the past 54 years, and was the devoted mother of |
4 | John "Jay" Sullivan and his wife, Kathleen Kelly, Beth Ann Farrell and her husband, Mark, |
5 | Timothy Sullivan and his wife, Sue, and Amy Creed and her husband, William; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Sullivan was born in the City of Woonsocket. She was the daughter of |
7 | the late Amie and Lillian Paulhus and was a graduate of St. Claire High School in Woonsocket, |
8 | and the College of New Rochelle in New York; and |
9 | WHEREAS, In addition to her husband and children, Mrs. Sullivan's was a beloved |
10 | grandmother and was so very proud of her beautiful grandchildren, Matthew, Casey, Kiley, Jack, |
11 | Mackenzie, Michaela, William, and Peter; and |
12 | WHEREAS, Devoted to her faith, Mrs. Sullivan had been a communicant of St. Veronica |
13 | Chapel in Narragansett and had previously attended the Christ the King Parish in Kingston; and |
14 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Sullivan enjoyed playing bridge and sunny days at Bonnet Shores, |
15 | where she was a member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club. She was also an avid golfer and a |
16 | former member of Potowomut Golf Club, Bear Lakes Country Club, West Palm Beach, and |
17 | Newport National Golf Club; and |
18 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Sullivan's life was replete with a large and loving family, friends from |
19 | Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Florida, and glorious and sunny days. She enriched |
20 | the lives of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed and always remembered; now, |

2 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
3 | Providence Plantations hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Muriel A. |
4 | Sullivan; and be it further |
5 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
6 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. John E. Sullivan and Family. |
