RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES -- RETAIL LICENSES--SMITHFIELD

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 3-7 of the General Laws entitled "Retail Licenses" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

     3-7-7.7. Class B license -- Smithfield. – Notwithstanding the provisions to the contrary

of § 3-7-7 or any other statute, rule, or regulation, the Smithfield town council and/or the

Smithfield licensing board may issue a Class B tavern license for the premises shown on the maps

of the tax assessor of the town of Smithfield as Lot 7 on Plat 17.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.

EXPLANATION

BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

     This act would authorize the town of Smithfield to issue a Class B (tavern) liquor license

to premises at lot 7 on assessor's plat 17.

     This act would take effect upon passage.
