HONORING AND CONGRATULATING JULIA KISELICA ON BEING A RESIDENT OF | |
THE TOWN OF WEST WARWICK FOR 101 YEARS | |

1 | WHEREAS, Julia Pankowicz was born on September 2, 1913, in the Town of West |
2 | Warwick, the daughter of the late Peter and Mandalena Pankowicz. She was one of eleven |
3 | children and is the last surviving sibling. She is a lifelong resident of West Warwick, growing up |
4 | on Pulaski Street before moving to Cowesett Avenue at the age of eleven; and |
5 | WHEREAS, As a young girl, Julia had to leave school at the age of thirteen to work in |
6 | the Warwick Mill and help support her family. She worked at the mill for twenty years weaving |
7 | material used for boat sails until she met her husband of sixty years, Anthony Kiselica. Together |
8 | they raised two children, Bernadine Terilli and Joseph Kiselica, and worked tirelessly to provide a |
9 | better life for their kids. Mrs. Kiselica took care of the home and her family, providing them with |
10 | a loving and nurturing safe-haven from the worries of the world; and |
11 | WHEREAS; Today, Mrs. Kiselica is the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and |
12 | continues to lovingly dote on her two children. She still lives in her home and still loves her tea, |
13 | her backyard swing and her chicken soup, and she, remarkably, is still able to take care of herself, |
14 | needing only a minimal amount of help. She is a woman of strong faith who still remains a |
15 | member of the church she attended as a child. She has lived an enriching life full of abundant |
16 | blessings from the Lord; now, therefore be it |
17 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
18 | Providence Plantations hereby honors and congratulates Julia Kiselica on being a resident of the |
19 | Town of West Warwick for 101 years; and be it further |

2 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Julia Kiselica. |
