CONGRATULATING LOUISE SEITSINGER ON BEING SELECTED AS RHODE ISLAND'S

2015 "PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR"

     WHEREAS, “The future,” in the wise words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "belongs to those

who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Louise Seitsinger, Principal of Tiogue Elementary

School in Coventry, Rhode Island, inspires her staff and the school’s students to envision the

possibilities, to have confidence in themselves and their abilities, and to believe in a future full of

promise; and

     WHEREAS, Annually, the Rhode Island Association of School Principals announces a

Principal of the Year in four different categories of grades from elementary through high school.

Candidates for the award are chosen through nominations, then put through a rigorous interview

and review process. This year's recipient of the prestigious title of "Elementary Principal of the

Year" is Principal Louise Seitsinger; and

     WHEREAS, Principal Seitsinger is credited with being "a superb administrator,

wonderful leader, and friend to all," as well as a leader who "knows how to bring everyone's full

potential out." The school's student body was overjoyed for their Principal, expressing their belief

that "she cares more about us than herself"; and

     WHEREAS, Principal Seitsinger is a true and proven champion of education. Her

dedication and expertise have been tremendous assets to the entire school community, and her

genuine love of learning has not only helped hundreds of children to succeed, but has also earned

her the praise and admiration of her peers; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby congratulates Principal Louise Seitsinger on the prestigious honor

of being named a 2015 "Principal of the Year" by the Rhode Island Association of School

Principals. We wish her the very best of health, happiness, and success in all her future

endeavors; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Louise Seitsinger, Principal, Tiogue

Elementary School, Coventry.
