EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF PATROLMAN RICHARD J. | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with utmost sadness that this House has learned of the passing of |
2 | Richard J. Jean-Georges, a well-respected Patrolman with the Bristol Police Department; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Richard Jean-Georges was the beloved son of Manny and Gladys Jean- |
4 | Georges and the grandson of Elise Jean-Georges and Felicite Marie Limage, and the late Joseph |
5 | Jean-Georges and Mecklembourg Limage. He also leaves behind his sisters, Allison High and |
6 | Cindy E. Jean-Georges, and his brother, Manny Jean-Georges; and |
7 | WHEREAS, After attending the University of Alaska, Mr. Jean-Georges transferred to |
8 | the University of Rhode Island, graduating in 2008, with a Bachelor's degree in Communications |
9 | and a minor in English; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Upon graduation, Mr. Jean-Georges worked at Citizens Bank as a Loan |
11 | Officer. In 2012, he successfully attained his goal of becoming a Police Officer when he joined |
12 | the Bristol Police Department as a Patrolman, a position he held for the past three years; and |
13 | WHEREAS, Richard Jean-Georges faced and overcame many challenges as a policeman |
14 | and during his life. He protected and served the people of the Town of Bristol, and he enriched |
15 | the lives of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
16 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and |
17 | Providence Plantations hereby recognizes and honors the dedicated service of Patrolman Richard |
18 | J. Jean-Georges and extends our deepest sympathies to the entire Jean-Georges Family on his |
19 | untimely passing; and be it further |

1 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
2 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Manny and Gladys Jean-Georges. |
