S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF ANN T. JACKSON

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Ann T.

2

Jackson, beloved wife of the late William E. Jackson, Jr., and the devoted mother of three sons,

3

James B. Jackson and his wife, Georgette, Robert P. Jackson and his wife, Marie, and Dennis M.

4

Jackson and his wife Kathleen; and

5

     WHEREAS, Born on Staten Island in New York, to the late Patrick and Katherine

6

O'Neill, Mrs. Jackson was the sister of the late Margaret Peterson, an aunt to John Peterson, Ann

7

Peixinho, Kathy Gamlin, and Adrienne Gallo, and the sister-in-law of Marlene Gallo; and

8

     WHEREAS, Ann Jackson loved her family and her warm personality created and

9

nurtured a marriage that flourished, and a home that was always welcoming. She particularly

10

doted on her grandchildren, Kelly Jackson, Robert Jackson, Danielle Smith and her husband,

11

Robert, William Jackson, Jeffrey Jackson, Patrick Jackson, and Bryan Jackson. She was also the

12

very proud great-grandmother of Robert J. Smith; and

13

     WHEREAS, In addition to her family life, Mrs. Jackson loved to shop, play bingo, and

14

dance; and

15

     WHEREAS, Ann Jackson was the heart and soul of her family. Her kindheartedness and

16

sincerity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished memories of her

17

entire family. She enriched the lives of all who had the good fortune to have known her and she

18

will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

19

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

20

hereby expresses our deepest sympathies on the passing of Ann T. Jackson; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

2

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. James B. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs.

3

Robert P. Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis M. Jackson.
