It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 44-3 of the General Laws entitled "Property Subject to Taxation" is |
2 | hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 44-3-65. Woonsocket Lodge No. 850, of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, |
4 | of the United States of America - Tax exemption. -- The city council of the city of Woonsocket |
5 | may, by ordinance or resolution, provide for an exemption from valuation for taxation any real |
6 | property situated in the city owned by Woonsocket Lodge No. 850, of the Benevolent and |
7 | Protective Order of Elks, of the United States of America. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
