EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF VINCENT A. ARICO | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Vincent |
2 | A. Arico, beloved husband of Natalie G. Arico for twenty-four years, and the devoted father of |
3 | Mary Anne Vincent, Monica L. Manni, and Vincent J. Arico, and the step-father of Pamela A. |
4 | Marsoobian, Lisa Mancone, and Christopher Tessier. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, |
5 | six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Born in the City of Fall River, Mr. Arico was a son of the late Anthony and |
7 | Mary Arico. He was the brother of Anthony V. Arico and Daniel J. Arico. He had grown up and |
8 | had been a resident of the Town of Barrington before moving to Riverside, where he had made |
9 | his home for many years; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mr. Arico was a graduate of Barrington High School, where he had earned a |
11 | position on the Rhode Island All-State Men's Track team. From 1954 through 1956, he had |
12 | served our country with honor in the United State Army; and |
13 | WHEREAS, A hard-working man, Mr. Arico had been employed as a salesman for the |
14 | Nabisco Company for thirty-two years before retiring. He subsequently worked as a bus monitor |
15 | for the East Providence School Department for ten years; and |
16 | WHEREAS, An active and contributing member of the community, Mr. Arico was a |
17 | communicant and usher at St. Brendan Church for thirty years, and a former member of the |
18 | Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus, a Riverside Pop Warner Football coach, and a woman's |
19 | CYO basketball coach; and |
20 | WHEREAS, Also an avid sport's fan, Mr. Arico was a devoted New England Patriots and |

1 | Boston Red Sox supporter and enjoyed walking his dog, Sasha; and |
2 | WHEREAS, Our thoughts and hearts hold great empathy and sorrow for Mr. Arico's |
3 | family. He was a loving husband and a devoted father. He enriched the lives of all who knew him |
4 | and will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
5 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
6 | hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to Mrs. Natalie Arico and the entire Arico Family on the |
7 | passing of Vincent A. Arico; and be it further |
8 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
9 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Mrs. Natalie G. Arico and Family. |
