S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES AND CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING

OF JOSEPHINE TAMBURINI

     WHEREAS, It is with the deepest sense of sadness that this Senate has learned of the

passing of Josephine Tamburini, beloved wife of the late Joseph Tamburini, devoted mother of

Chief Richard S. Tamburini, J.P.D. and his wife, Marie, and Roseann Cerbo and her husband,

Albert, and loving grandmother of four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and

     WHEREAS, Born in Providence, Mrs. Tamburini was the daughter of the late Peter and

Rose Nastasi, and the sister of the late Joseph, Peter, Rose Nastasi, and Martha Taccone. She was

a parishioner at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in the City of Providence, where she made

her home; and

      WHEREAS, Mrs. Tamburini was a soft-spoken and thoughtful woman who treated those

around her with love, kindness, and grace. She was a lovely lady both inside and out and a true

inspiration to those around her; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby extends its deepest sympathy on the passing of Josephine Tamburini. She was much

beloved and will be dearly missed; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Chief Richard S. Tamburini, J.P.D. and Family,

and Roseann Cerbo and Family.
